The next volume from Architecture/Interiors Press, Inc. will be Natural Histories: Public Art by Larry Kirkland. It will be released in spring 2010.

Larry Kirkland’s large-scale public artworks include marble sculptures, wall engravings, and urban plazas for the likes of the American Red Cross Headquarters, Portland International Airport, New York’s Penn Station, and the California Science Center. Natural Histories has 200+ color photographs and sketches, with an essay by art critic Nancy Princenthal.


The first book on the work of renowned interior design duo Yabu Pushelberg will be released in October 2009 by Architecture/Interiors Press, Inc. Titled Yabu Pushelberg, the volume features more than 220 pages of luxurious color photographs of the firm’s top hotel, retail, restaurant and residential interiors.

The large‐scale, elegantly bound hardcover book provides multiple views into more than 30 of Yabu Pushelberg’s projects worldwide, including Bergdorf Goodman, the Carolina Herrera boutique, and Tiffany & Co. Wall Street in New York; the Four Seasons in Tokyo; Louis Vuitton VIP suites in Hong Kong; The Hazelton Hotel in Toronto; the art‐filled St. Regis hotel in San Francisco; Lane Crawford department stores in Beijing and Hong Kong; and Fin and Shibuya restaurants in Las Vegas. Also included are exquisite residences in New York, Toronto, and Miami.

Additionally, Yabu Pushelberg includes six vibrant essays by William Norwich, contributing editor to Vogue and former Style and Entertaining editor of The New York Times Magazine. The witty pieces are each dedicated to a specific aspect of the design process or the elements of style, and simultaneously convey the complexity and sumptuousness of Yabu Pushelberg’s designs, all while placing the spaces within a social context.

Yabu Pushelberg, which will retail for US$70, will be available internationally at all online, traditional, and specialty booksellers. Book launch events will take place in the fall at Bergdorf Goodmanin New York, The Hazelton Hotel in Toronto and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong.
